In this episode I highlight key portions of the Summary Judgment and Class Certification/Daubert decisions issued March 31, 2025, by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York in Yeend v. Akima Global Services. The case marks an important next step in the multi-decade battle for voluntary work and fair wages inside ICE detention centers.
Later this month, I’m hosting a registration-only update on all ICE detainee labor cases. It’ll be free to paid subscribers and formerly incarcerated folks, and $5-$20 on a sliding scale for everyone else. Look for a link to that event very soon.
If you find this work to be of value, please consider subscribing, or upgrading your subscription. That’s what makes it possible.
