Alien|age

In this introduction to the Alien|age project, I start with a discussion about the dehumanization of people labeled “aliens” by U.S. immigration laws. I then offer to introduce my friends in the migrants’ rights space to the Congressionally acknowledged “non-human intelligence” we’ll be hearing much more about very soon. I ponder how shifting nomenclatures reflect shifting paradigms from converting aliens into “non-citizens” (and back into aliens on Tuesday) to converting “UFOs” into UAPS and UAPs into drones.
